2012 Summer Program Assistant
This is a full-time (35 hour/week) position assisting with the Center for Architecture Foundation’s Summer@theCenter weekly architectural studio programs for 3 - 12 grade students.
Program Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, M - F
Program Dates: June 18 - August 30, 2012 (with July 4 holiday)
Program Location: Center for Architecture, 536 LaGuardia Place, NY NY 10012
Responsibilities will include:
• help instructor with daily prep and clean-up
• coordinating registration and check-in
• assisting with all activities in the classroom and on field trips
• administrative support as needed
• assist with program publicity: photo, video and written documentation of programs for web and online posting
Qualifications:
• Experience in education or youth programs
• Background in architecture or a design related field, education or art history
• Hands-on model building and artistic skills
• Professional and friendly manner
• Ability to take initiative and work both independently and collaboratively
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Computer skills that include MS Office; knowledge of graphic design or video editing a plus
• Strong interest in CFAF’s mission
The Assistant will be compensated based on their level of experience.
